Experience
Doris spent more than twenty years “in the trenches” as a full-charge bookkeeper before she went back to school to get a CPA license. She then worked for fourteen years in public accounting. This perspective makes her uniquely suited to work with a client’s books or train a client’s bookkeeper. She has worked with almost every bookkeeping method out there, including old fashioned ledgers and journals. She has worked with all the small and mid-size business software packages and currently serves on the Intuit Accountants’ Advisory Council and is a Quickbooks ProAdvisor. As a former member of the Sage Accountants Network, she is experienced in Peachtree and Sage 50. Small businesses face unique and difficult challenges in these economic times, and some of the methods of economizing that businesses learned in the inflationary days of the 1980’s, are applicable strategies for growth today. The opportunities for growth are out there! Doris continues to learn as she recently completed an MBA, learning new approaches to problems both created and solved by technology.
